After a leisurely breakfast of pancakes, Puffin and crew continue cruising down Watts Bar Lake utilizing several cutoffs or shortcuts created by the river, until we arrive at our next anchorage, Brown Hollow(mile 537.5). Having arrived early in the day, we decide to dinghy to a nearby island aptly named Sand Island as it has a rare but desirable sandy beach. The day is complete with a swim and a barbeque back at Puffin.
